Pep Guardiola 'hopes' Riyad Mahrez plays for Leicester against Manchester City this weekend after going on strike over his failure to secure a move to the Etihad.
The Algeria star returned to training on Friday after staying away from the club since transfer talks between the two sides collapsed on deadline day.
It has put Mahrez in contention for a place in the Leicester squad to face City at the Etihad on Saturday, and Guardiola for one would be happy to see him face the Premier League leaders.

'Hopefully he will play,' said the City boss, who could yet return with a bid for Mahrez in the summer.
