Newcastle are increasingly hopeful of signing Joe Willock on loan from Arsenal.
Sportsmail revealed Steve Bruce's interest at the weekend and the Newcastle manager is eager to get a deal over the line for the 21-year-old.
After seeing moves for Ainsley Maitland-Niles and PSG'S Idrissa Gana Gueye falter, Bruce is also waiting to hear if Leicester City will allow Hamza Choudhury out on loan.
But that depends on Leicester finding a replacement. Leicester had asked about Nathaniel Chalobah but he is in the Watford squad to play QPR on Monday night.
