Riyad Mahrez has backed Craig Shakespeare to keep the Leicester manager's job next season. Shakespeare's contract runs out on June 30 but talks are expected before then.
The 53-year-old stepped up from his role as assistant in the wake of Claudio Ranieri's sacking and has won six and drawn two of his 11 games, guiding the side away from relegation danger and almost to the Champions League semi-finals.
Shakespeare goes back to his old club West Brom on Saturday, where he was a player and coach, seeking the victory that would all but assure Premier League survival and Mahrez believes the role should be his long term.
