Claudio Ranieri is ready to hand Islam Slimani his Premier League debut at Anfield despite the club-record signing having just one training session before the game with Liverpool.
Slimani has been away on international duty with Algeria and is only due to meet his new team-mates on Friday morning – but Ranieri believes the £29.7million striker can be thrown straight into action, probably off the bench.
The Leicester manager will though start Kasper Schmeichel, with the goalkeeper recovering from surgery on the hernia that forced him off early during the win over Swansea.
