Leicester City 'lead the race to land Harry Souttar after Brendan Rodgers sent scouts to watch the Stoke City defender's last THREE matches'... but Foxes will have to fend off Wolves and West Ham to sign Australia's World Cup hero

Leicester City have reportedly stretched ahead of their Premier League rivals in the race for Harry Souttar, with the Stoke City defender seemingly destined to make the step up to England's top flight.

Souttar, 24, has attracted interest after dazzling for Australia at the World Cup in Qatar last year, where his heroic efforts at the back guided the Socceroos to the last-16 of the competition.

Graham Arnold's side were sent home by eventual champions Argentina, but Souttar's performances in Australia's four World Cup matches has convinced onlookers that he is ready to play at the highest level.
