England manager Gareth Southgate now knows first hand Jamie Vardy has not lost his goalscoring touch after watching the Leicester City striker score twice in the opening match of the season.
Vardy, a former Arsenal transfer target, disarmed the Arsenal defence as Leicester led twice before succumbing to two late goals.
But that outcome will not bother Southgate, who looked on from the Emirates Stadium directors' box.

And City captain Wes Morgan believes Vardy, 30, is showing signs he still has the pace and form that helped Leicester win the title two seasons ago and made the former non-League striker an international and Footballer of the Year.
