Eduardo Macia has been appointed as Leicester's new head of recruitment.
The Spaniard replaces Steve Walsh, who left in the summer to join Premier League rivals Everton.
A former player for Valencia, Macia has extensive experience in senior scouting positions with clubs across Europe.
He worked alongside Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri at Valencia, when he was technical advisor, and spent four years at Liverpool working alongside Rafa Benitez.
The 42-year-old has also spent spells with Fiorentina and Olympiacos.
Leicester Director of Football Jon Rudkin said: “Eduardo’s appointment follows an extensive process undertaken by the Football Club, to identify a candidate of outstanding experience that would contribute significantly to the long-term development our player recruitment strategy.
