Leicester City title winner Christian Fuchs gave manager Claude Puel a timely reminder of his quality by scoring a stunning opener at the King Power Stadium and then setting up a second goal to kill off Joey Barton’s Fleetwood.
Fuchs, one of Claudio Ranieri’s 2016 heroes, has been overlooked by Puel in the Premier League this season in favour of younger model, Ben Chilwell
But on his first appearance of the season, the 32-year-old made a big impact after eight minutes when Fleetwood half-cleared a corner and he thumped it back into the top corner from 25 yards.
