Jamie Vardy has now scored against every team in the Premier League after his first-half penalty was enough to see off Wolves and take Leicester top of the table ahead of Liverpool’s meeting with Manchester City.
The Foxes forward completed the full set of top-flight victims by drilling in his ninth goal of the season in the 15th minute, though he also missed from the spot shortly before half-time to ensure Leicester had to fight hard to the finish.
Wolves will feel that the first penalty – initially turned down but then awarded for a handball by Max Kilman after referee Anthony Taylor checked the touchline monitor – was harsh, but they can have few excuses for a flat display in the opening 45 minutes.
