Jamie Vardy has revealed that his mannequin celebration for England fooled television broadcasters into thinking their feed of the game against Spain had stalled.
The Leicester striker struck a static pose after burying a header past Pepe Reina, followed by Raheem Sterling and Theo Walcott, and was told during post-match interviews that some people behind the camera lens believed a technical fault had hit.
Claudio Ranieri was watching from home and is convinced Vardy has returned from international duty a new player after ending his 14-game scoring drought.

Reflecting on his England celebration, Vardy said: 'The boys spoke about doing it and it didn't happen when Adam (Lallana) scored so I just thought I'd try my luck when I scored and everyone was doing it, including the bench.
