Jamie Vardy says Michael Owen is entitled to his opinion after emphatically disproving his suggestion that the Leicester striker is not a natural finisher.
Former Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester United striker Owen, who is seventh on the all-time Premier League top goalscorers list, last month criticised Vardy while working as a pundit for BT Sport, stating that the 29-year-old relies heavily on fortune rather than finesse to score his goals.
Vardy ended a 16-match Foxes goal drought - he netted for England against Spain last month - with a brilliantly-taken hat-trick in Leicester's 4-2 victory over Manchester City on Saturday; his first treble for the Foxes and his first at any level since netting three times for Fleetwood against Ebbsfleet in the Conference in 2012.
