The teams meet again at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, in a quarter-final tie being shown live on BBC One, with holders City looking to keep alive their hopes of a second successive Treble.
BBC Sport football expert Chris Sutton said: "Alexander Isak has got a goal in him for Newcastle, but their problem is going to be at the other end - there is no way you would back them to keep a clean sheet against City."
