Expected goals: Stats experts reveal how Premier League matchweek six games should have finished

Another weekend of Premier League football has been played, with Arsenal's clash against West Brom this evening ending matchday six.

Manchester City and Manchester United remain level atop the table having yet to lose a game, with Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool (as expected) rounding out the top five.

Big results over the weekend included City's 5-0 rout of still goalless Crystal Palace, and Chelsea crusing to a 4-0 win at Stoke.

But, do the stats experts say the results from matchweek six were correct?

'Expected goals' is a statistic used to work out how many goals should be scored in a match, with every shot taken given an 'expected goal' value based on the difficulty of the attempt.
