Everton 4-2 Leicester City: Romelu Lukaku hits brace as Toffees revive European aspirations

Everton revived their slim hopes of qualifying for the Europa League after seeing off champions Leicester City in an enthralling encounter.

The Toffees have seen their momentum curtailed in recent weeks, having picked up one point from their previous two league fixtures.

But it was Ronald Koeman’s side who profited from a goal fest at Goodison Park, as two goals from Romelu Lukaku, as well as strikes from Tom Davies and Phil Jagielka, secured three points for the hosts.

The Foxes responded to Davies’ early strike to take the lead thanks to goals from Islam Slimani and Marc Albrighton.
