Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was reminded of the loss of faith in Claudio Ranieri among Leicester’s squad after the Sevilla defeat by a select number of senior players.
The Leicester owner was already well aware of disgruntlement having visited the training ground a couple of months ago to gauge the mood, Sportsmail can reveal. Vichai went round Belvoir Drive and spoke to team members and coaching staff in an informal manner to ascertain what was going wrong.
Players did not call for a meeting, but the owner sought their counsel with a change already in mind.

Ranieri knew about the Thai businessman’s visit during a time in the campaign when gravity started to pull but believed he retained ultimate faith after his exploits in winning the Premier League title.
