Chris Coleman has held positive talks with the Welsh FA (FAW) over a new contract and received assurances over key demands geared towards taking the side forward.
The Wales manager wants full-time deals for assistant Kit Symons and Ryland Morgans as well as other structural improvements and was given given cause to be satisfied after initial discussions.
Coleman informally met with FAW chief executive Jonathan Ford and president David Griffiths in Cardiff on Thursday and both parties went away in the belief a deal could be struck.

The FAW want to offer Coleman fresh terms to take the country into Euro 2020 but the 47-year-old is determined to make sure Symons and Morgans will be by his side.
