Brendan Rodgers reveals James Maddison, Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury have apologised to their Leicester City team-mates for breaking Covid-19 protocols as trio are integrated back into the squad for FA Cup semi-final with Southampton

Brendan Rodgers has revealed that the Leicester players who broke Covid rules have apologised to their team-mates for their error of judgement as the club bid to reach their first FA Cup Final since 1969.

James Maddison, Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury were three of the players believed to have attended a gathering two weeks ago that breached protocols, and Rodgers opted not to pick them for last Sunday’s 3-2 defeat at West Ham as punishment.

The trio trained away from the rest of the group last week but re-joined the squad for this week’s sessions after clear-the-air talks following the Hammers match and are available for Sunday’s semi-final against Southampton at Wembley.
