ALAMEDA — Charles Woodson celebrated his 39th birthday Wednesday the same way he’s handled so many during his 18 years in the NFL.
“Just another day at the office,” Woodson said, after lamenting that the gathered media didn’t sing birthday wishes to him. “Ready to get to work and ready for a big game this weekend.”
It was a lighter than average day for Woodson though, who didn’t suit up for practice. That’s become the norm on Wednesdays this season after he dislocated his shoulder in the season opener.
Despite that injury, Woodson has recorded a fourth-quarter interception in each of the past two games.
