ALAMEDA — The Raiders have kept their defense pretty much under wraps throughout training camp and the exhibition season.

That changes Monday night when they host the Los Angeles Rams for a difficult first test under new defensive coordinator Paul Guenther. At most, the Raider would return three starters — nose tackle Justin Ellis, defensive end Bruce Irvin and safety Karl Joseph.

There’s an entirely new scheme as well, with more centrally located pressure plus recent tweaks to apply heat from the outside now that Khalil Mack plays for the Chicago Bears.
