Welcome to the second day of the AAF’s second week of play! Today the games open with the Orlando Apollos against the San Antonio Commanders. Later on today will be the San Diego Fleet hosting the Atlanta Legends.
The Apollos team has several former Raiders on the team, including quarterback Garrett Gilbert, DT Leon Orr and LB Azeem Victor, who was one of Reggie McKenzie’s last draft picks with Oakland. Orlando, as you might imagine, has the market cornered on former Sunshine State players, including former Florida State guard Tre Jackson, Gators wideout Chris Thompson and Florida safety Will Hill, who had a lengthy NFL career including a successful stint with the Ravens.
