Longtime NFL reporter, Adam Caplan, who has a track record of knowing his Raiders’ stuff, reports that the receiver priority for the Raiders is a speed receiver.
He wrote Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock are focusing on getting a burner. Even though it’s a considered a great draft for receivers, Caplan said, if you want a true speedster, you better take one in the first two rounds or they will be gone. On a Tuesday conference call with reporters, Mayock said this receiver draft could see 20-plus go in the first three rounds. He said that number is usually 12-13.
