On Thursday, the Raiders announced that fullback Alec Ingold was the team’s nominee for the annual Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
Considered to be one of the most prestigious honors in the NFL, the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award recognizes an NFL player for outstanding community service activities off the field, as well as excellence on the field. There is one player nominated from all 32 teams.
As a nominee, Ingold, will wear a Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year helmet decal through the end of the season in recognition of his accomplishments both on and off the field.
