ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Sure, the Oakland Raiders' offense will take plenty of criticism for its lackluster showing in Thursday night’s 20-12 preseason loss at the Green Bay Packers after the starting unit managed just 73 yards of total offense in the first half.
But what about the defense?
Sure, the starters settled down, forcing four punts and turning the Packers over on downs after the first series in the first half. But for the second straight game, the Raiders' first-string defense allowed a lengthy scoring drive on the first series of the game.
