PITTSBURGH -- The Oakland Raiders will play at the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday without starting safety TJ Carrie.
Carrie was questionable with shoulder and hip issues. Larry Asante will start for Carrie, who has emerged as one of Oakland’s better defensive players. Asante will be challenged by the Steelers’ strong passing attack.
In other Oakland inactive news, newly signed returner Marcus Thigpen is active. He is expected to be the primary kick and punt returner Sunday. Also, backup running back Roy Helu is a healthy scratch.
