The selection process is actively happening in Oakland for their scouting department. After the ‘earth shaking’ news that the Raiders cleared out their scouts a week before the draft, Mike Mayock said that was the plan all along and part of that plan was that many of those scouts would not be back.
Mayock took over for former General Manager Reggie McKenzie this offseason and since Mayock wasn’t showing up with an entourage of scouts, he was put in charge of the the scouts that were already here, many of whom McKenzie had brought onboard with him.
