Report: Musburger replacing Papa as radio voice of Raiders

Raiders fans have two more years before the team moves to Las Vegas, but Greg Papa and his signature “TOUCHDOWN RRRRAID-ERS!” apparently won’t make it into this season.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday that veteran broadcaster Brent Musburger will replace Papa as the Raiders’ radio play-by-play announcer beginning this season.

Papa followed legendary Bay Area broadcaster Bill King as the Raiders’ play-by-play announcer in 1993.

The Review-Journal said Musburger and the Raiders declined to comment, but it’s worth noting Musburger, 79, writes a weekly sports betting column for the Review-Journal. Musburger did send out a cryptic tweet on Tuesday, writing: “VSiN says Raiders are 3-point underdogs in NFL opener vs.
