Raiders trade WR Brice Butler to Cowboys

ALAMEDA – The Raiders had five receivers active on Sunday’s regular-season opener against Cincinnati. He was clearly on the bottom of a six-man corps despite yet another productive preseason.

Cowboys were in need of receiver help with Dez Bryant out with a broken foot, the Raiders had some talent in trade. General manager Reggie McKenzie traded Butler to the Cowboys for a seventh-round pick on Tuesday afternoon.

Butler was a seventh-round pick in 2013, and hung around despite being on the roster bubble since he got drafted. He played 25 games in his first two seasons, with two starts.
