Raiders sign Oakland native Raysean Pringle, release CB Shaquille Richardson

Midway through training camp, the Raiders are making moves. They have swapped out cornerbacks, cutting Shaquille Richardson and signing cornerback Raysean Pringle, an Oakland native.

Pringle played high school ball at Tennyson High School in Hayward before moving on to play running back and wide receiver at Southern Utah. There Pringle appeared in 33 games and made nine starts for the Thunderbirds. In his four seasons with the team (2013-16), he totaled 1,130 yards and 14 touchdowns on 228 carries, adding 36 receptions for 329 yards and one touchdown.

He went undrafted in 2017 and joins the Raiders after spending his rookie season on both the Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars practice squads last season.
