Per Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Oakland Raiders have signed former Wagner College linebacker Najee Harris to a three-year contract following a standout performance during the team’s rookie mini-camp.
Harris shares the name of the notable Alabama Crimson Tide running back, just to be clear. This small school linebacker stands at 6’1″ 220 pounds with pretty impressive athleticism. At his Pro Day, he ran a 4.59 second 40-yard dash with a 7.35 second 3-cone drill.
At about the size of a safety, Harris is going to need to pack on some serious pounds to help shed blocks and hold up against NFL offensive lineman and tight ends.
