Neither head coach Jack Del Rio nor offensive line coach Mike Tice would ever say this, but tackle Donald Penn’s holdout through five days is not that big a deal.
In all honesty, the 34-year-old would get two or three days off the first two weeks of camp if he were in camp, and the left tackle showed in offseason workouts that he is in very good shape.
Del Rio said again Tuesday that he would talk only about players in Napa, and Tice would acknowledge only that there has been a domino effect the first four practices.
