The Las Vegas Raiders lost both of their starting safeties from Week 1 of last season during free agency this offseason. Both Tre'Von Moehrig and Marcus Epps were not re-signed by the new regime, so they landed with the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots, respectively.
General manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll replaced them with former Panthers and Washington Commanders safety Jeremy Chinn, and they extended Isaiah Pola-Mao, who filled in admirably for Epps after joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Spytek and Carroll also brought in Lonnie Johnson Jr.
