The David Irving experiment is over for the Las Vegas Raiders. The team announced on Friday that they have released the defensive tackle.
The move is a bit surprising. I didn’t peg Irving as a sure thing to make the 53-man roster, but I thought he’d make it to the final cut, at least. The Raiders are deep at defensive end after adding several pass rushers this offseason.
The Raiders re-signed Irving in February. He had workouts with the Indianapolis Colts and the Detroit Lions before coming back to the Raiders.
