Raiders release Clive Walford, clearing salary cap space in the process

There was a logjam at tight end for the Oakland Raiders heading into April, and the team fixed that issue on Tuesday. The Raiders released Clive Walford on the team, as they plan to go into next season with Jared Cook, Derek Carrier, and Lee Smith at the position.

Walford spent his entire career with the team since they made him a third round pick back in 2015. His 2017 season was the worst of his career, as he caught only nine balls, and saw his season end on injured reserve due to concussions.
