Coming into the 2020 NFL season, there was a lot of chatter around Las Vegas Raiders starting quarterback Derek Carr. The fanbases was torn in half as to what they felt about the seventh-year starter, as half feel he is the answer moving forward, while others believe it is time to turn the page.
Ever since Jon Gruden arrived for a second go-around as the Raiders head coach, the narrative has been that the two could not co-exist. A four-win season in 2018 did nothing but fuel the fire, and when the Raiders stumbled to close the 2019 season, many believed Gruden would use a first round pick to bring in his successor.
