The Oakland Raiders announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE Cooper Helfet and LB Ben Heeney on the Non-Football Injury List.
Helfet, 28, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in 2012. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s active roster.
Seattle re-signed him to a one-year, exclusive rights contract. However, he was waived and later reverted to their injured reserve list after clearing waivers.
The Seahawks later decided to waive Helfet back in August of last year and he signed on with the Raiders a few months later.
