The Las Vegas Raiders' defense was a pleasant surprise over the first two weeks of the season, as they held the Patriots and Chargers to a combined 33 points. That all came crashing down in Week 3 as the defense and special teams combined to allow 41 points to the Commanders, who were without second-year star quarterback Jayden Daniels.
While Marcus Mariota had not made a start since 2022, he had absolutely no problem picking apart the Raiders defense as he threw for 207 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. He completed 71.4% of his pass attempts while adding 40 rushing yards and one touchdown on six carries.
