NAPA — The Raiders begin August with their fourth practice of training camp Tuesday and then players get a mandatory day off.
Three things to watch, all players who slumped a year ago who have had impressive starts:
1. Tight end Clive Walford: With 33 receptions for 359 yards, Walford exceeded his rookie totals in 2016 but both he and the Raiders expected much more.
They may get it this year. Other than one pass that glanced off his hands during the first practice, Walford has been noticeably more explosive and physical, catching passes both inside and outside and playing with abandon.
