Raiders have more problems on offense than Derek Carr’s back injury

DENVER — With five minutes to go in the third quarter Sunday, the Raiders season flashed before their eyes.

Quarterback Derek Carr rolled to his right, spun away from Derek Wolfe, and Shelby Harris got an arm on him. Carr was on his way to the ground and twisted awkwardly as defensive end Adam Gotsis finished off the play, with Carr appearing to take a knee to his lower back.

Left tackle Donald Penn, seeing his quarterback go down and perhaps having a flashback to last Christmas Eve when Carr’s broken fibula effectively ended the Raiders’ season, was visibly upset.
