ALAMEDA — After spending the first two days of the NFL draft talking about new defensive players, Raiders coach Jack Del Rio took a moment Friday night to give his thoughts on the new offensive acquisition.
Del Rio is a positive guy, but even he was impressed by the raw emotion expressed by Marshawn Lynch Wednesday upon being traded to the Raiders.
“Authentic passion is what I see,” Del Rio said. “He’s a homegrown guy. He’s extremely excited about joining this team and we’re excited to have him . . . I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anybody else more excited and pleased to be joining a team — my team, our team.
