The Raiders are adding some insurance along the offensive line. They signed guard/tackle Ian Silberman to their active roster off the Tennessee practice squad, the Titans announced Tuesday.
The Raiders didn’t announce the signing or a corresponding move surely to come with it, and didn’t have any moves hit the Tuesday transaction wire.
The Raiders got roughed up along the offensive front, with right tackle Donald Penn and left guard Kelechi Osemele both missing snaps with injury. Coach Jon Gruden wanted to wait until Wednesday to update the team’s injury situation.
Silberman spent the offseason program and training camp with the Raiders, and often played first-team right tackle when Penn was on the physically unable to perform list recovering from foot surgery.
