Raiders add another cornerback, signing Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

Last season, the cornerback position was a weak one for the Oakland Raiders, who set an NFL record for ineptness at getting interceptions. They made it a point to upgrade the position this offseason, bringing in guys like Rashaan Melvin, Daryl Worley, and rookie Nick Nelson, but they obviously were not done.

On Wednesday, the Raiders signed free agent cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who recently was a member of the New York Giants. The 32-year old Cromartie will jump right into the mix with the Silver and Black, and his experience could lead to him bumping a guy like Antonio Hamilton or Dexter McDonald off of the 53-man roster.
