ALAMEDA — The Denver Broncos rank last in the AFC in total offense and passing and next to last in rushing.
Yet, Peyton Manning and his crew bring a 4-0 record into Sunday’s game in Oakland.
“They’re a very successful offense,” Raiders safety/cornerback TJ Carrie said, “so no matter what stats say, no matter what people say, they have very high-level caliber guys that are able to get the job done every day.”
At 39, Manning might no longer be the same player he once was and the Broncos’ offensive output bears that out. Their undefeated start is largely based on the NFL’s top-ranked defense, a group previously led by Raiders coach Jack Del Rio.
