Oakland Raiders workout a QB, a WR, and a LB

For the second time in a week, the Oakland Raiders have brought in a trio of players for workouts. On Monday, they brought in three additional players for another workout.

Last week, Oakland brought in a defensive end, a linebacker, and a safety. With multiple injuries to the defensive line, with Shilique Calhoun injured, and with Karl Joseph ailing, each of those three spots made sense to browse around.

But this week, there is a peculiar player who was brought in — Keith Wenning, former quarterback out of Ball State.

With Matt McGloin entrenched as the backup, and Connor Cook being a maintstay on the inactive list, it makes you wonder the motive behind the team bringing in Wenning.
