For anybody thinking Jon Gruden and the Oakland Raiders are tanking this season, they should have put some of that chatter to rest with their effort against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. No, they’re not tanking, and as we saw against the Colts, they’re still competing hard.
They’re just not a very good football team – which might be a very generous way to put it.
To say this season hasn’t gone according to plan for Gruden, the Raiders, and the fans, would be like saying, “there sure are a lot of stars in the sky,” “water is wet, fire is hot,” and “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” is the most horribly unwatchable thing on television today.
