This offseason, the San Francisco 49ers are likely to move on from quarterback Colin Kaepernick after what turned out to be a disastrous 2015 campaign for the young gunslinger. One of the teams rumored to have interest in him if he released or traded is the Oakland Raiders, which may come as a surprise to some.
Now obviously the Raiders would only add Kaepernick to the roster as a backup, but it’s an intriguing idea nonetheless. Derek Carr has cemented himself as the franchise quarterback this season, showing immense improvement from his rookie season and turning the Oakland offense into one worth worrying about.
