Historically, the Raiders have been one of the most forward-thinking organizations in terms of hiring employees. Being non-discriminatory was very important to late owner Al Davis. While everybody knew that the Raiders were going to inevitably hire Gruden, the Fritz Pollard Alliance (FPA) has its doubts if the Raiders satisfied the Rooney Rule of interviewing minority candidates for the job.
