NFL coaches and players like to talk in hyperbole in the offseason, especially around training camp time. A time where even the worst teams in the league on paper all act like there is a chance they could possibly defy all expectations and win the Super Bowl. Even teams like the Oakland Raiders who are rebuilding while also not making the playoffs in over a decade with two 8-8 seasons as the franchise’s peak during that time period of failure.
Jack Del Rio and Mike Tice continued that tradition of being way too optimistic recently at a team event where the coaching staff talked about their 2015 hopes at a “Meet the Coaches Reception” to introduce what is an entirely new look staff in Oakland.
