Oakland Raiders: Amari Cooper coming out of shell

Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper broke onto the scene with 1070 receiving yards in his first year, the most for a Raiders receiver in more than a decade.

Now, the second-year receiver is growing up fast.

Beginning with organized team activities, Cooper is allowing his personality to emerge.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr explained that everyone is quiet their rookie year, because the game takes a lot of mental focus. However, Carr sees a different Cooper this year.

Carr on the difference in Cooper this year via CSN Bay Area:

“You can definitely see it out on the practice field that he is a lot more comfortable because there is not as much of a learning curve because he’s not in his rookie year.
