Nevada Senate Passes Raiders Stadium Bill

Related Topics: Nevada Senate, Oakland Raiders

A proposal that would build the Raiders a Las Vegas stadium using $750M in public funds (generated from a tourist/hotel tax) was approved by the state Senate in a 16-5 vote.

The next step is for the bill to be seen by the state Assembly, which will happen on Thursday.

If the bill can pass through all required levels of the state, there is still a matter of the NFL approving the project.

Which as Jason Cole explains, may not be a sure thing.

Mike Florio also noted that more owners are beginning to express concerns with the project.
