Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave isn’t a big ego guy who needs a ton of credit for his work.
Consider this: Musgrave volunteered on Thursday that it was backup quarterback Matt McGloin who deserved at least some of the credit for Sunday’s game-winning touchdown play that was dialed up.
The play — a fake screen on third-and-15 to Amari Cooper before Derek Carr went up top to a wide open tight end Mychal Rivera for the score — gave the Raiders the 15-12 lead that turned into the final score in the upset of the Broncos.
It was a play call that made a ton of sense.
